Set within the historic charm of Belmont, this distinguished heritage-listed residence has been transformed through a sophisticated approach to custom joinery. Cambridge Cabinets played a key role in modernising the interiors of this early 1900s home while honouring its storied past – once owned by the iconic Geelong figure Godfrey Hirst.
Throughout the home, the cabinetry reflects a masterful balance between heritage character and contemporary luxury. In the kitchen, a blend of materials – including Xilo White Touch cabinetry from Elton Group, Polytec Legato in Montage, and Signorino Grey Tundra stone – creates a refined yet grounded palette. The splashback and benchtops enhance the space with natural texture and tone, while Blum soft-close hardware and brass fittings provide a premium finish.
Each bathroom features distinct styling: The main bathroom is elevated by Quantum Quartz in Alpine White and Elton Group’s Xilo White Touch cabinetry, while the kids’ bathroom introduces the rich, earthy tones of Golden Tundra stone.

In the master suite, fluted Modulo Panels in The Oaks finish bring warmth and subtle texture to the curved wall features, reinforcing the home’s architectural elegance. The laundry and study showcase Elton Group’s Limewash Elm in a planked pattern, paired with Studio Italiana stone in Basic Grain, ensuring every space feels connected and considered.

From the kitchen, pantry and bathrooms to the laundry, robes, study, and a striking stone fireplace, every element of the joinery was crafted with precision. The result is a timeless fusion of tradition and innovation – high-end custom cabinetry that brings soul, style and function to every corner of this Geelong landmark.
